Caretaker Interior Minister Toskovski in Interview with Kanal 5

In an interview with Kanal 5 TV on Thursday, caretaker Interior Minister Pance Toskovski once again called on DUI and SDSM MPs to extend the validity of passports containing the previous constitutional name until 31 December 2024.

“Let them change the law to cover only a 10-month period, not more. We will not be in violation of international law. Now, only we, Macedonia, and, sure enough, Greece are violating it,” he pointed out.

As he added, there are around 105,000 citizens who have had their photos taken but are without a travel document. If the dynamism goes to plan, they will get them within a month and a half, Toskovski added.

He also discussed the concern, as he said, by international partners over the matter, highlighted during the meeting of the European Commission’s Committee on Travel Documents on 13 February.
