An Infectious Diseases Clinic employee has tested positive for Crimean-Congo haemorrhagic fever. The 27-year-old woman has been hospitalized at the Clinic.
A team for insight was immediately formed by Skopje’s Institute for Public Health, which carried out the necessary activities. As a result of these developments, the State Sanitary and Health Inspectorate has placed another 11 people, 10 members of the new patient’s family and a co-worker of hers, under supervision to prevent the spread of Crimean- Congo haemorrhagic fever.
“For the first case, 29 supervision decisions were issued, one of which covered the employee too. Now, the number is 40,” the Inspectorate’s head, Renata Mladenovska said.
