Commissioner Kos Starts Skopje Visit, Meets PM Mickoski

On Monday, EU Enlargement Commissioner Marta Kos started her two-day visit to Skopje for the EU-Western Balkans summit of leaders.

At a meeting with PM Hristijan Mickoski, they discussed the region’s European perspective, with an emphasis on the implementation of reforms and Growth Plan, as well as on advancing cooperation with EU institutions.

According to the Government’s press-release, Mickoski highlighted the cabinet’s strong orientation with regards to integration into the EU in a dignified manner and through implementation of essential reforms in the fields of rule of law, economic development, and digital transformation.

“Commissioner Kos welcomed the Government’s Reform Agenda and confirmed the EC’s support for the region’s progress on the European path. The PM highlighted that the meeting represented a confirmation of the increased role of the country in the regional and European process, as well as an acknowledgement of the new energy with which the government led reforms and created a predictable and stable future for all citizens”, it was added in the press-release.
