Commissioner Varhelyi on Enlargement Issue

In a post on X (formerly Twitter) regarding the EU Ambassadors Conference 2023, EU Enlargement Commissioner Oliver Varhelyi wrote on Tuesday: “EU enlargement became our strategic reply to bring peace, stability & prosperity in a fragmented world”.

In the same post, the Commissioner mentions the issue of offering a credible accession path.

“We have to offer a credible accession path forward that brings results in the reform progress & close the economic gap,” Varhelyi added.
