Director of the Agency for Confiscated Assets Driton Nebiu informed that the flats that were confiscated from former UBK Head Saso Mijalkov in the Empire case, have been purchased on a public auction by the company Best Way Investment, which is owned by Mijalkov’s son Jordan.

“The flats were sold couple of months ago, but back then we had no information who are the buyers,” Nebiu said, adding that the laws only prevent entities with criminal record and with active judicial measures against them to participate in public auctions of confiscated assets.

Nebiu also stated in previous occasions that employees at the Agency for Confiscated Assets faced pressures and intimidation due to the attempts to put the flats of Mijalkov on sale.
