Though it had previously been announced that expert consultations hosted by President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova over reforms in the pardons system would be held on Tuesday, they were postponed, according to Sitel.
As the TV station said, it’s about meetings the President has had with all Commission members and representatives of the Justice Ministry since mid-September, aiming at fully reforming the pardons system and drawing up draft-changes to the legislation.
According to unofficial information, these consultations have been halted and will resume once a new composition of the Pardons Commission is elected, following Saturday’s resignations.
Regarding the process of additional consultations for new members of the Commission, they have started and there’ve been talks to different profiles of people, including proven and experienced attorneys.
