Death Threat against DUI MPs, Sender also Says Languages Law is ‘Fascist’ one

13 DUI MPs, including party leader Ali Ahmeti, received on Sunday an email from an unknown sender containing a death threat, reading, in part, “gas chamber” and “gallows”.

In the email, the sender also writes that the Languages Law is a fascist one and will be abolished. DUI said on Monday that that hadn’t been the only death threat its members had received over the past days. Despite the party asking for institutional protection, such cases haven’t been reported to the Interior Ministry.

Condemning the matter, DUI MP Rina Ajdari stated that the threats would neither intimidate her party nor force it to give up on its policies. The Parliamentary Group of VMRO-DPMNE, too, condemned the threats.
