Delcevo Fields Case: Investigative Procedure against Seven Suspects being Stopped

The investigative procedure against the seven suspects in the Delcevo Fields case is being stopped. The Skopje Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office launched a procedure against them concerning defraud in the service.

After the analysis of the criminal charge, statements by witnesses, and all secured material evidence in the investigative procedure, it’s been found that neither material nor verbal evidence arise from the procedure that would confirm the basic suspicion that the charges are crimes for which there is prosecution ex officio, the order to stop the procedure issued by the Office says, inter alia.

The Office claims it had no other choice but to stop the procedure and close the investigation. It’s about land in the Delcevo region bought by EVN Elektrani at a price 40 times the market value.
