Deputy PM Grkovska Holds Meeting with Gert Jan Koopman in Brussels

In Brussels on Wednesday, Deputy PM for Good Governance Policies Slavica Grkovska met with the Director of the Directorate-General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations, Gert Jan Koopman.

They discussed the Growth Plan for the Western Balkans, in which, as the Government said in the press-release, speeding up reforms, especially with regards to the rule of law and improvement of the efficiency of the judiciary and public administration, is one of the pillars.

The Deputy PM highlighted the importance of the Plan as a strong mechanism to bridge the period until full-fledged EU membership. The meeting also saw a discussion on strengthening, simultaneously with the implementation of the Plan’s measures, activities to inform citizens about the importance of the integration process, as well as on the continued support from the EU for North Macedonia.
