Development of policies and the degree of alignment of North Macedonia’s legislation with the EU acquis in the sector of fisheries will be in the focus of the agenda of the bilateral screening meeting for Chapter 13 (Fisheries) taking place on Thursday and Friday in Brussels.
As Deputy PM for European Affairs Bojan Maricic said, with the achievement of the Chapter’s standards, the country will be able to get money from the structural funds of the EU intended for fisheries.
In the frames of his visit to Brussels, Maricic was part of Global Gateway Forum, where he delivered an address at the leaders’ session on education and research.
Maricic also met European Commission representatives. Developments related to North Macedonia’s path were the main topics of discussion. The Deputy PM also held a briefing meeting with delegates from the Working Party on Enlargement and Countries Negotiating Accession to the EU.
