Draft-Changes to Limit Officials’ Salaries Enters Parliamentary Procedure

On Wednesday, draft-changes filed the previous day by SDSM MPs aiming to freeze the salaries of officials entered procedure in Parliament.

Though VMRO-DPMNE had initially supported the proposal, in principle, its caretaker Labour and Social Policy Minister, Gjoko Velkovski, said that the plan for the salaries not to be reduced, meaning for them to include last year’s increase of 78% as a result of the Constitutional Court’s decision, had just gone to increase the revolt of citizens.
