DUI Central Presidency Analyses Current Political Situation and Other Topics

On Monday, DUI’s Central Presidency held a meeting at which the current political situation and other topics were analysed.

“DUI is following with seriousness and concern all political events in the country and region, starting from the decoupling from Albania on the EU path, which is why our assessment is that has a very bad impact on ethnic relations in this country. Then, the Central Presidency is expressing concern also over interethnic relations, which are being attacked by the policies of this monoethnic government, which doesn’t have legitimacy,” party Spokesperson Arber Ademi said.

Regarding the second item, he stated a decision had been made for the open sessions of DUI branches with citizens to start. Though the issue of protests wasn’t discussed, it is part of the agenda, Ademi explained.

Asked about the government’s stand that the constitutional changes should enter into force once the country joins the EU, DUI’s position is that every attempt to reformulate obligations would move the country away from the strategic goal.
