On Monday, DUI leader Ali Ahmeti reiterated his stand on the so-called legitimacy matter.
“No matter who the PM-designate is, they must respect the will of the second-largest community of the country. That must be obligatory. That is why there must be either a law or constitutional changes for legitimacy. Following talks with DUI membership, we’ve agreed that for us to show that legitimacy must be respected, there will be protests outside the Parliament and Government buildings,” he noted.
Ahmeti didn’t answer whether the protests would end with a demand for early elections.
However, he did say regarding the destabilisation issue that the country was being destabilised as a result of the Constitutional Court’s freezing of the Balancer tool, developments regarding the Law on Languages, and initiative to re-examine the authentic interpretation of the Hague cases.
