DUI MPs Receive Threatening E-Mails

On 23 July DUI MPs received threats on their e-mail addresses from an unknown sender.

Police were notified of the matter on 25 July. On Saturday, DUI confirmed that that had happened. However, the party said the new government was to blame.

“We are witnessing an organised and devised campaign to defame and threaten DUI, whose goal is to cover up the new government’s big failures and mistakes in the first months of its term,” Ali Ahmeti’s party said.

On Sunday, VLEN’s Izet Mexhiti said that he had confirmed information that DUI itself was behind the threats.
