VLEN has criticized the stands by DUI President Ali Ahmeti regarding the local elections and by the party’s Vice-President, Bujar Osmani, about a difficult political crisis.
“Osmani’s not the one that should look after the rights of Albanians because they have a legitimate representative of theirs within the cabinet”, the coalition said on Tuesday.
In the ethnic Macedonian political bloc, too, DUI’s views are not a reason for concern. SDSM’s stand is that Ahmeti’s party should come to terms with it no longer being a factor in North Macedonia’s politics, while VMRO-DPMNE has sent a similar message. Macedonian Concept levelled criticism, too, saying DUI could no longer blackmail citizens and institutions with its threats.
“The time of political monopolies is ending”, it added.
