On Wednesday, regarding the stand by Austrian MEP Thomas Waitz, who’s the Rapporteur on North Macedonia, that a joint signature by the EP, EC, and Bulgaria, may guarantee that the inclusion of Bulgarians in North Macedonia’s Constitution would be the last bilateral demand by Sofia on the EU path, Ambassador Michalis Rokas didn’t comment directly, saying “we are working hard” with the Government on all open issues.
In that regard, he added that until everything was solved, reforms should be implemented.
PM Hristijan Mickoski, on the other hand, is adamant that actions are needed, that is, he demanded European Human Court of Rights verdicts regarding the Macedonian community in Bulgaria be respected and the Macedonian language, culture, and individuality be recognised.
“Principles must be respected”, the PM emphasized.
