On Tuesday, asked about potential dialogue with the new Bulgarian government to overcome the Skopje-Sofia dispute, PM Hristijan Mickoski said that his country would not sign everything put on its table at all costs.
Though he believes the process should be prioritised, he didn’t reveal details when it came to a potential meeting soon with Bulgarian cabinet representatives. The PM again stressed he would do everything to ensure a better negotiating framework.
The same day, however, SDSM leader Venko Filipce said that North Macedonia had fallen seriously behind Albania and Montenegro, adding that dialogue with Bulgaria should be opened as soon as possible. He once again called for a session of Parliament that would see all details over the EU path presented.
