On Wednesday, the European Commission adopted the Growth Plan for the Western Balkans.
As it said, the aim is to bring some of the benefits of membership to the region in advance of accession, boost economic growth, and accelerate much needed socio- economic convergence.
Commission President von der Leyen described the Plan’s potential as extraordinary.
