On Sunday, the DUI-led European Front coalition adopted a political declaration on, as it is said in the document, the ethnic legitimacy arising from the 8 May elections.
The document, signed by the Front’s political representatives, will be sent to all state and international representatives. The ruling partners must be guided by the political will of the two largest ethnic communities in the country, Macedonians and Albanians, as well as the legitimate representatives of the other communities, DUI leader Ali Ahmeti said, reading the text.
He added that not respecting the legitimacy was enabling ethnic hegemony to be established and represented humiliation of ethnic Albanians.
“This monoethnic majority which violates the legitimacy of the other ethnic communities, burdens co-existence, democracy,” he stated.
