The State Commission for Prevention of Corruption (SCPC) has opened a case concerning the 1.8-million-euro tender won by Eurovia in relation to the OSCE event in December.
The SCPC didn’t comment on Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani’s stand that he didn’t know Eurovia was a DUI donor. It asked for other institutions, too, to voice a stand on that. The SCPC asked for information from both DUI and the company about the violation of the law through the donation. According to VMRO-DPMNE, Osmani had known the company was a donor even before the signing of the deal because a ranking according to the lowest price is submitted to a head before the signing of a deal.
When it comes to PM Dimitar Kovacevski, his position is that the tender is legal. DUI returned the excess of the donation, but it did so a year later even though the legal deadline is 15 days.
