Filipce again Voices Stand on Constitutional Changes Issue, VMRO-DPMNE Responds

SDSM leader Venko Filipce has said he believes that the government will “obviously” not deliver on its promise that it will improve the country’s positions regarding the EU path, i.e. the Bulgaria dispute.

“I take personal responsibility to assume the full responsibility and full burden, even at the price of my political career, for us to make the constitutional changes and open the negotiations chapters with the EU. If the government thinks it can utilise that, I am at its disposal. SDSM will always be here to support all processes that mean development of the country, better and higher-quality life of our citizens. We can talk about some ad hoc solutions, but all those decisions are short-lasting”, he noted.

In response, VMRO-DPMNE said the people hadn’t given Filipce a responsibility when it came to solving the Bulgaria dispute.

“In the last elections, the people said what it thought about the capitulations by Venko and [ex-PM and former SDSM leader Zoran] Zaev in the Bulgaria dispute”, the party noted.
