On Wednesday, Venko Filipce officially assumed the position of SDSM leader.
His predecessor, Dimitar Kovacevski, used the meeting to congratulate him on his election, wishing him successful work.
“A lot of work, unification, and reform of SDSM is ahead. The process will be neither quick nor easy. However, fundamental changes are the only way for us to rebuild trust among members in order for us to be able to be gradually winning the trust of citizens too. I will lead by example, unite, work as I have promised, as I have pledged before members,” Filipce stated.
The same day, the new party leader held his first coordination meeting with SDSM’s Parliamentary Group.
