First Hearing in Levica-Kanal 5 Lawsuit Case Postponed

The first hearing in the case initiated by Levica against Kanal 5 journalist Mihaela Dimovska, Editor-in-Chief Goce Mihajloski, and the TV station, scheduled for Thursday, was postponed because the party’s legal representative and leader, Dimitar Apasiev, was absent.

According to Levica, Kanal 5, in its news programme, illegally published an internal party document, classified as a business secret, and thus committed the crime of unauthorised publication of personal notes (Article 148 of the Criminal Code). On the other hand, Kanal 5’s representatives said the lawsuit was unfounded and constituted political pressure on media.
