Four-Member Family Evacuated from Gaza Arrives in North Macedonia

The Skaik family, evacuated from Gaza, has arrived in North Macedonia. The married couple and their two children were welcomed on Sunday by Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani.

The evacuation from Gaza represents a particular diplomatic challenge, considering the complex security situation in that region, Osmani assessed, praising the efforts of diplomats in the Embassies in Cairo and Tel Aviv, who, as he said, were in constant touch with both the family and authorities in Egypt and Israel.

“All our efforts now are focused on getting out another two nationals of ours, whose evacuation I expect to take place soon,” Osmani said on social media.
