According to Bulgarian Foreign Minister Mariya Gabriel, Sofia’s position on Skopje is very clear, that is, fulfilment of the obligations agreed on and accepted in July of last year.
Answering an MP’s question, she stated that Bulgaria would continue to very clearly defend its position, language, culture, and identity.
“We want to show very clearly in front of the Republic of North Macedonia that only when they fulfil the obligations they themselves agreed to fulfil, EU integrations will then no longer be a dream,” Gabriel stressed.
Regarding the US Senate Resolution for proclaiming September as Macedonian American Heritage Month, the Bulgarian Minister said her Ministry would do everything to prevent that from happening.
