In an interview with Telma on Tuesday, Germany’s Special Representative for the Western Balkans, Manuel Sarrazin, discussed topics related to North Macedonia’s EU path, including the stand of the President and future government.
“It was an impressive election result and my last talks also in Skopje for, on the one hand, congratulating Madame President [Gordana Siljanovska Davkova] and Prime Minister-elect [Hristijan Mickoski], but also to ask for what their outlook for the future is.
And both were very clear that they are committed to the European path of North Macedonia and we offered, of course, our German support for that. We stand towards the EU accession path of North Macedonia very constructively and positively as Germany, regardless of which political colour, but, of course, we expect that the reforms, which are necessary, are delivered and the necessary results will be delivered” he pointed out, inter alia, in the interview.
