Government and SDSM still Divided over Early Elections Issue

The ruling structure adheres to the stand that early parliamentary elections shouldn’t be held simultaneously with the 2025 local polls.

On Thursday, Government Spokesperson Marija Miteva didn’t comment on the stands of the opposition, which has maintained that the central authorities have done nothing for citizens since the start of the new cabinet’s term.

“Early elections will represent just an additional cost,” Miteva noted.

On the other hand, SDSM Spokesperson Bogdanka Kuzeska, said the same day her party was ready for elections. According to Venko Filipce’s party, PM Hristijan Mickoski has made different stands over the matter.

“First, he called for early elections. Yesterday, we saw him sort of backtrack on that statement. We’re ready for elections,” the Spokesperson stated.
