Government Aware of Importance of Palestine Recognition Issue

The Government told VoA Macedonian on Wednesday that it was closely following the situation in the Middle East and that it was aware of the importance of the issue of recognising Palestine as an independent country.

As it added, consultations are currently underway with all relevant international factors and NATO Allies to ensure that every decision that will be made will be in the best interest of the country and contribute to regional peace and stability.

“The Government hasn’t made a final decision on recognition of Palestine, but this matter remains on the agenda. We will continue to work by fully respecting international law. Our goal is to contribute towards a peaceful and lasting solution to the Palestine-Israel conflict through dialogue and diplomatic efforts,” the Government pointed out.
