Greece’s Gerapetritis Underlines Need for Respecting EU Fundamental Principles

On Monday, after his participation in the Berlin Process Summit, Greece’s Foreign Minister, George Gerapetritis, stated that at a time of two wars endangering “our region”, the European path of the Western Balkans mattered in order for peace and prosperity to be able to be consolidated.

As he added, instead of nationalism, a course should be outlined that will be compatible with Europe.

Also, the Greek politician once again stated regarding integration that full respect for the EU acquis, international law, and democracy and rule of law process was required.

Previously, according to photos posted on social media by his Ministry, Gerapetritis had had a brief exchange with North Macedonia’s PM and Foreign Minister, Hristijan Mickoski and Timco Mucunski, respectively.
