According to Greek PM Kyriakos Mitsotakis, his counterpart from North Macedonia, Hristijan Mickoski, used the country’s constitutional name at the official meetings of all NATO leaders.
The Greek PM also stated that he’d briefed NATO counterparts that Mickoski wasn’t implementing the key Prespa Agreement article concerning erga omnes [for all uses]. He made those comments after he’d been asked whether the Greek Government was thinking about using Article 19 provisions, which provided for concrete action of determined violations.
Mitsotakis added that Greece would currently not reveal its mechanism at its disposal to respond to “the tactics of the neighbouring country’s leadership”.
However, he underlined that, one way or another, the leadership would realise its tactics were completely counterproductive. Once again, the Greek PM said, “Pacta sunt servanda [agreements must be kept].”
