Greek PM Mitsotakis Reiterates Stand on Constitutional Name Use Issue

Regarding the Prespa Agreement and constitutional name use issue, for SKAI TV, Greek PM Kyriakos Mitsotakis said he was waiting for Hristijan Mickoski to be sworn in as North Macedonia’s PM and, as he stressed, to realise that taking office didn’t allow him anymore to talk as a physical person.

“Based on what I am hearing, the country’s called ‘Macedonia’ and they have a right to self-identification. This doesn’t exist, just so that it’s clear from here on out. We want good relations with North Macedonia, but from here on out, we will protect also the national interests of the country,” Mitsotakis pointed out for the medium.
