At a meeting of New Democracy’s Parliamentary Group, the party’s leader, Greek PM Kyriakos Mitsotakis once again said North Macedonia was in violation of the Prespa Agreement.
He also levelled indirect criticism at SYRIZA.
“Regarding those who today, too, are continuing, at different events and conferences, to praise the Agreement that has many problems, let them take a look at Skopje’s current behaviour. In the current behaviour of Skopje, let them see their problematic experiments. Those are traps over which we had warned them here, from the rostrum. Just like we are now too warning our northern neighbours with simple and clear words, ‘You haven’t started well, violating both international law and your obligations arising from international agreements.’,” the Greek PM noted.
In Strasbourg, former SYRIZA leader and ex-Greek PM Alexis Tsipras, in the frames of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe’s (PACE) Sub-Committee on the Western Balkans, said the EU and international community should clarify the consequences of not respecting the Agreement that the region, especially North Macedonia’s future, would face.
