On Monday, Health Insurance Fund employees staged a peaceful protest, expressing their fear about a potential decrease of their salaries.
The recommendation has been made by the Government, while the decision will be made by the Fund’s Managing Board.
Trpe Deanoski, head of the Trade Union of Workers in the Administration, Judicial Bodies, and Associations of Citizens, stated that the Government didn’t have the competence to ask for anything from the Fund because it was an independent institution.
If the Board reduces employee salaries by 21%, there will be only one person at the counters and they will only accept documentation. There will be no payments concerning medications for pharmacies, salaries for the public health sector, and other services.
