An argument over MP commuting costs escalated on Thursday into an incident in Parliament’s hallways.
VMRO-DPMNE MP Petar Risteski and Levica parliamentarian and leader Dimitar Apasiev exchanged verbal insults on personal grounds, but Parliament’s security prevented a major physical incident.
Apasiev said Risteski had grabbed him by the neck, which had been followed by him taking a swing at the VMRO-DPMNE MP with a cup. On the other hand, Risteski said the “hysterical” Apasiev had been the one that had caused the incident, adding that the Levica MP was pretending to be a victim.
