Interior Minister Toskovski among Participants in Marking of World Refugee Day

On Monday, new Interior Minister Pance Toskovski attended, in Parliament, the marking of World Refugee Day (20 June).

As the Interior Ministry added in the press-release, at the event, addresses were delivered by Speaker Afrim Gashi, MP Ljupco Prendzov, Chair of the Political System and Inter-Community Relations Committee, EU Ambassador David Geer, US Ambassador Angela Aggeler, UNHCR Representative Gabriel Gualano de Godoy, and MP Sonja Mirakovska.

According to figures, currently, there are 117 million people who have been forced to leave their homes worldwide.

At the event, the importance of protection of refugees was confirmed, while North Macedonia confirmed its commitment to their rights and safety, the Ministry added in the press-release.
