Regarding her phone conversation with Rumen Radev, President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova has said she and her Bulgarian counterpart always talk about the fundamental issue, that is, the EU path and constitutional changes.
As she pointed out on Monday, it’s time for “us to act like two close peoples with understanding and mutual respect”.
North Macedonia’s President added that she desired and it was time for a solution to be found. Radev shares her stand that it is exceptionally important for there to be communication at the highest level in order to build stable grounds to develop bilateral relations and deal with regional and global challenges.
The two Presidents are expected to meet again in April in Sofia, on the sidelines of an Aqaba Process event.
However, the respective stands of the two governments when it comes to the EU path remain unchanged, that is, Hristijan Mickoski’s cabinet has insisted on a delayed implementation of the constitutional changes, whereas the authorities in Sofia have pointed to that as an obligation before its neighbour resumes the EU path.
