Over his blacklisting by the US, Karpos Mayor and Stevco Jakimovski filed on Wednesday a criminal charge against an unknown perpetrator. He pointed the finger at, as he stated, Macedonian snitches.
“This is not from investigative organs, this is not from representatives of the Embassy and official American policy, but rather from Macedonian snitches that have ventured in these dishonest games and that prompt the whole time about who should be on the blacklist,” the presidential candidate said, adding that the blacklisting represented direct interference in the presidential race.
According to Jakimovski, his name is on the list as a result of people who are connected to foreign services and who have in continuity created preconditions for them to use such a situation to say North Macedonia’s judicial organs don’t react.
“Over these past 7-8 months, we have been literally bombarded with criminal charges. One would be amazed by the kind of nonsense they write in them,” Jakimovski stressed.
In his view, prosecutors only have the choice of taking no action over the charges, “considering they submit and write nonsense”.
