Ex-Transport and Communications Minister Mile Janakieski will be released on parole on 17 June 2024 instead of next year, on 16 January, as the preliminary decision foresaw.
He was sentenced to 3.5 years for election irregularities in the Titanic case. The Criminal Court will decide whether ex-secret police chief Saso Mijalkov, sentenced to three years in prison for money laundering in the Empire case, will be released on parole as well.
These two decisions have been published on the website of the Court of Appeals. Both cases are among the processes launched by the now-defunct Special Prosecutor’s Office.
