Judge Trpkov and Lawyer Elenko Milanov React to Amnesty in 27 April Organisers Case

Regarding the amnesty of ex-Parliament Speaker Veljanoski, former Minister of Transport and Communications Mile Janakieski, former Labour and Social Policy Minister Spiro Ristovski, and the former Director of the Security and Counterintelligence Administration, Vladimir Atanasovski, in the trial over the 27 April Organisers case, Judge Ilija Trpkov said on Thursday that it was not true that that meant the process concerning the April 27 2017 storming of Parliament, too, should collapse.

“On the contrary, it hasn’t collapsed, nor has it been proven that the events in Parliament were not organised, but rather mercy was sought from the state for these events,” he noted.

Regarding those convicted in the 27 April processes, he said they hadn’t acted patriotically, they should be ashamed, and they should ask for forgiveness from the state because they had been manipulated. According to the Judge, it’s clear to everyone, including those convicted, that someone organised the people in order for them to storm Parliament.

On the other hand, lawyer Elenko Milanov, said that regarding the persons he’d represented and defended, the 27 April Organisers case shouldn’t have even been launched to begin with.
