On Monday, Justice Minister Igor Filkov met US Ambassador Angela Aggeler.
There was a discussion on implementing reform commitments, strengthening the fight against crime and corruption, judicial and prison state of affairs, as well as on providing conditions for unimpeded carrying out of foreseen activities.
Wishing the Minister successful work, the Ambassador said she expected implementation of the reform legislative agenda.
“Minister Filkov said changes had to be delivered quickly because citizens demanded results. The US is our greatest strategic partner and a strong ally for the progress of our country to full-fledged EU membership,” the Ministry said.
The pledge and commitment to further developing bilateral relations between Skopje and Washington, as well as to continuing cooperation so far, was confirmed.
