Justice Minister Lloga Signs off on Extradition Request for Palevski

Justice Minister Krenar Lloga has signed off on the request for extradition of the principal suspect in the case concerning the murders of Vanja Gjorcevska and Pance Zezovski, Ljupco Palevski.

Once it is translated into Turkish, it will be immediately send to Turkiye’s Justice Ministry. Lloga expects cooperation with Turkiye’s judicial organs and Palevski to face justice institutions in North Macedonia as soon as possible.

“We will not wait for the 40-deadline to expire when it comes to us submitting the extradition request,” Lloga’s Ministry said on Wednesday.

VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski stated that the public would be aware of details very soon. He said in an interview with Shenja TV that the investigation into the case had started too late, adding that he had serious information to back up his claims.

The same day, in Brussels, PM Dimitar Kovacevski praised the international support for North Macedonia’s Interior Ministry in the case.
