On Sunday, BESA’s Bilall Kasami, Democratic Movement’s Izet Mexhiti, and Alternative’s Afrim Gashi made official the coalition. Its name is European Alliance for Change.
“As we’ve said, there is no alternative only to EU integration. I want to highlight our priority is fighting corruption,” Gashi said.
Mexhiti said the coalition would have joint lists in the parliamentary elections and a joint presidential candidate. Regarding Alliance for Albanians, Kasami said its positions had recently been contradictory, adding that all members and voters of the party who wanted change should join the opposition.
There is no head of the coalition, that is, all three party leaders are equal.
