Acting Director of the Health Insurance Fund Saso Klekovski informed on Wednesday that in the following 10 days the Fund will reveal the plan for dealing with the debts accumulated by the public healthcare institutions.
“Concluding with 3 June 2024, their debts amount around five billion denars, and have increased by one billion denars compared to the first half of 2023.
Greatest debts are registered within the University Clinics for Oncology, Radiology, Torahic and Vascular Surgery and Gynaecology, as well as the general hospitals in Prilep and Ohrid. These debts have been created as a result of unbalanced planning of the budgets of these institutions,” Klekovski said.
