Kocani Fire: Decision on Dimitrovski and Ilijev to Probably Be Made 28 March

Regarding the Kocani fire case, the Stip Court of Appeals will need to decide whether the ex-Mayors of Kocani, Ratko Dimitrovski and Nikolco Ilijev, will return to detention or continue to be under house arrest.

“We’ve received the Prosecutor’s Office’s appeals”, it said on Thursday, adding that a decision would most likely be made the following day (28 March).

Previously, the Court had said that it had acted upon 22 appeals filed by suspects, ruling that the detention measure stay in force for 19 of them, while for three suspects, that has been replaced with house arrest.
