Kovacevski and Mickoski Comment on Preliminary Results

“It’s clear that people have punished us and we accept that. Today is a severe blow to the country’s European perspective. However, giving up is not an option for us. There are two weeks to go until the second round for us to send the message to every village, house, and citizen that the country’s European integration is the only way for change,” SDSM leader Dimitar Kovacevski said on Wednesday night regarding the preliminary results of the presidential election.

On the other hand, VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski praised the results.

“The tsunami has started and is hanging over their heads. We have an obligation to crush all of their ideas about scheming and treasons. This is a revolution of the people of Macedonia. The first round is the yellow card,” he stressed, adding that the red card should be given on 8 May.
