According to PM Dimitar Kovacevski, Bulgarian Foreign Minister Mariya Gabriel didn’t say that there were new conditions.
“We have a very clear Negotiating Framework. That Framework includes obligations for the EU and North Macedonia. In Brussels, at the last Western Balkans Summit with the EU and at the last Council meeting, we had the clearest conclusion since we got the candidate status,” he noted.
On the other hand, VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski stated that Gabriel had told the truth. “That’s the truth that my party and I have talked about for a year and a half,” he said, adding that it had been seen publicly that the ruling partners lied to the people about the constitutional changes being the last obstacle.
