On Thursday, the verdict in the Laskarci trial, which concerns the 2019 bus crash in which 16 people were killed and over 30 injured, was announced. The six defendants received a combined prison sentence of 39 years.
Durmish Beluli, owner of Durmo Tours, was sentenced to four years in prison. Remzi Miftari, the person responsible for transport at the company, was given six years, while the bus driver, Manoil Trifunovski, was given a 14-year sentence.
The three employees at the station for technical examination, Igor Gjorgjievski, Goran Dukovski, and Jane Bovarski, each received five years behind bars.
