Kumanovo Mayor Maksim Dimitrievski told the Lokalno portal on Monday that local authorities hadn’t issued any permit for the KLA memorial complex in Sopot.
“There is a strict procedure, defined according to the law, about how a museum or memorial is opened. Currently, I don’t have information, nor has someone contacted the Municipality to request any permit,” he stated.
Regarding DUI leader Ali Ahmeti’s messages at the opening of the complex, Dimitrievski is not surprised.
“As a party that has been in power for more than 20 years, it has shown autocracy in a continued manner. Always, in the pre-election period, it plays the national card and plays with the national sentiments of citizens,” the Mayor stressed.
