Malta to Take Over OSCE Presidency in 2024

OSCE Chairperson Bujar Osmani announced on Monday that at a meeting including ambassadors of 57 OSCE member-states in Vienna, it has been officially decided that Malta will take over the OSCE presidency starting from 1 January 2024.

“We bring good news; an agreement has been reached. The decision for the Maltese presidency over OSCE will be officially confirmed at the Ministerial Summit in Skopje in the following days. We are very grateful to Malta for taking over this role, after several unsuccessful attempts for the presidency to be given to Estonia. So, Malta will manage the OSCE presidency in 2024, and in 2025 it will go to Finland,” Osmani informed.
