Marija Janiceska Nominated as OTA Director

The Committee on Election and Appointment Issues nominated on Thursday Marija Janiceska as Director of the Operational-Technical Agency (OTA). Janiceska, who has a law degree, has so far worked as an expert associate on general and common affairs at the OTA.

The proposal was determined unanimously. For her to be elected, she will need a two-thirds majority at a plenary session and support according to the Badinter principle. 21 candidates were part of the race, which started after the expiration of Zoran Angelovski’s term as head of the institution.

The OTA was formed as an independent state organ following the wire-tapping scandal and the Priebe report.
